Bryan joined FVLD in March 2021 from Phoenix, Arizona where he practiced at a boutique law firm.  Bryan has significant experience in litigation, general corporate counseling, and administrative and regulatory compliance.  In litigation, Bryan’s experiences covers all phases of civil litigation from client intake and pre-suit strategy, managing and coordinating discovery, filing dispositive motions, and handling appeals.  His litigation experience also covers a broad range of substantive areas.  Bryan also has substantial experience advising clients on administrative and regulatory compliance in subjects ranging from general advertising standards, to the specific level of scientific substantiation necessary to assert implied health claims on food and beverage labels.

Litigation:

  • Represented clients who asserted or defended against a broad variety of subject matter areas, including: commercial and business disputes, complex civil actions, breach of contract and related torts, civil RICO, False Claims Act and qui tam actions, Lanham Act and false advertising claims, and consumer class actions.
  • Prepared and filed entire gamut of potential legal pleadings, ranging from pre-suit demand letters and complaints to oppositions to petitions for writ of certiorari from the United States Supreme Court.
  • Strategized and managed all phases of civil discovery, including initial document ingestion and review, preparation of privilege logs, implementation of technology-assisted review plans, and production of files. Coordinated e-discovery projects with third-party vendors.

Administrative and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Counseled clients regarding advertising obligations under FTC and FDA regulations.
  • Advised clients regarding labeling requirements for various products regulated by FDA, TTB, among other federal and state administrative agencies.
  • Represented clients asserting constitutional and Administrative Procedure Act claims alleging relevant regulatory standards are unconstitutionally vague and unlawful.

Prior Experience:

  • During law school, Bryan interned with Horizon Therapeutic’s General Counsel’s office. During that internship, Bryan assisted with the post-acquisition integration process, drafted various agreements, and participated in internal-compliance meetings.
  • Also during law school, Bryan was a volunteer law clerk for the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office in Washington D.C. Bryan assisted in the litigation of Title VII, Freedom of Information Act, Privacy Act, Federal Tort Claims Act, and other claims asserted against the United States and its federal agencies.
