Megan E. Hamilton

Megan joined FVLD in May 2013 after returning to the Chicago area from Washington, DC, where her varied practice included representing both employers and employees in employment litigation, advising estate beneficiaries and personal representatives in the administration and settlement of estates, and assisting clients with consumer bankruptcy and family law matters.    

At FVLD, Megan’s practice has expanded to include commercial real estate acquisition, financing, and development, as well as the negotiation and drafting of commercial, industrial and office leases.  She also focuses on representation of clients in the sale and acquisition of businesses and general corporate counseling.

While attending The George Washington University Law School, Megan was a law clerk in the Hatch Act Unit of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel and worked as an intern at the Federal Mine Safety & Health Review Commission.  Megan also served as President of the GW Law Moot Court Board and was a member of the George Washington International Law Review.

Megan is a member of the Illinois, Maryland, and the District of Columbia Bars.  A lifelong competitive equestrian, Megan worked in equestrian operations management and has competed internationally in the sport of Eventing. She is married, has two children and, in her spare time, enjoys riding horses and attending Notre Dame football games.
