Orley grew up in the Chicago area, however after high school she moved to Israel, where she lived for almost nine years. During that time, she worked in public relations and taught Business English at numerous high-tech companies. Orley joined FVLD after graduating from Law School. Since joining the firm, Orley has gained experience in commercial litigation matters, including various contract disputes and defamation and First Amendment claims. Orley has also drafted a variety of corporate and employment-related agreements and has worked on anti-harassment, real estate, securities, and estate planning issues. Orley attended Bar Ilan University in Israel where she received her B.A., cum laude. She received her J.D., with honors, from the Illinois Institute of Technology - Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005. While in law school, Orley was an associate editor of the Chicago-Kent Journal of International and Comparative Law, 2004-2005. She was also a member of the International Law Moot Court Team, participating in the 2005 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria. Orley won the annual Chicago-Kent Charles Evans Hughes Oral Advocacy Competition, and she received CALI awards for academic excellence in Legal Drafting, Legal Writing for International Business, and Trial Advocacy. While in law school, Orley also spent time working as a legal intern at the Chicago-Kent Advice Desk, where she interviewed, counseled, and provided limited representation to indigent defendants seeking assistance at the Circuit Court of Cook County. Orley is an experienced scuba diver and has explored the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and the South Pacific Ocean. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and practicing Bikram Yoga. |
