Neil grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and joined FVLD upon graduation from Law School. Since joining the firm, Neil has rapidly gained experience in most phases of commercial litigation. In particular, Neil has represented clients in various complex matters including class action and anti-trust disputes, multi-party fraud claims, and defamation and First Amendment claims. Neil has also litigated employment-related matters, probate cases and property disputes, and has negotiated several favorable settlements for the Firm's clients. On the transactional side, Neil has drafted corporate agreements for various entertainment projects, and has worked on private offering memoranda for various private securities offerings and the formation of new ventures. Neil has also worked on employment issues and drafted numerous employment-related agreements. Neil attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he received a B.A. in Political Science in 2001. Neil received his J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law where he graduated with Honors in 2004. While attending law school, Neil was a member and a Notes and Comments Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. He was also a member of the Moot Court Team, participating in the 2004 ABA National Sports Law Competition. Neil also spent two semesters working as a legal intern in the Chicago-Kent criminal defense clinic, and he received a CALI award for his performance in Legal Writing. Focusing on a Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution curriculum, Neil spent time in school as a certified mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago. Neil is a self-proclaimed "Detroit Sports Enthusiast" and enjoys spending his spare time rooting for his hometown teams. |
